Three reasons a wedge is worth the desk space
- You can see the screen without leaning
- A flat machine on a desk points its display at your chest. Tilting it puts the screen normal to your eyeline from a seated position, which is the difference between glancing at a parameter and stopping to read it.
- Your wrist stops bending backwards
- Playing pads on a flat desk holds the wrist in extension for the length of a session. Raising the front edge and angling the deck lets the hand sit closer to neutral, the way a sloped keyboard does.
- The cables stop fighting the desk
- Lifting the rear off the surface gives every rear connector a straight run instead of a sharp bend at the socket, and puts air under a machine that is otherwise sitting in its own heat.

Where the weight lands
This is the engineering claim worth reading twice. The Live II's feet sit at about ±162 mm; the cushioned rails sit at ±191 mm, outboard of every one of them. The stand therefore bears on the flat base plate near the edge of the chassis, not on four rubber feet — which is why a 3.38 kg machine does not rock when you play it.
What the stand does not cover
The rails stop at the rear edge of the chassis and the cross-frame sits below it, so the whole rear connector bank stays open with the unit tilted. The perforated speaker face at the front sits above the 12 mm lips.

Assembly
- 1Lap the two cross-frame halves together at the 36 mm centre spine and drop an M4 nut into each of the three vertical slots.
- 2Fit a washer and an M4 × 16 screw into each of the three spine holes and tighten. The bolt tips finish about 0.2 mm below the frame, and the 1 mm desk strips clear them.
- 3Lay the two side panels inside-face up. They are handed — the joint mortises face each other.
- 4Drop an M4 nut into the captive slot beside each of the four side joints.
- 5Slide the four tongues of the assembled cross-frame into the panel mortises. 14 mm of engagement, 0.25 mm clearance a side.
- 6Fit a washer and an M4 × 35 screw into each recess and tighten evenly.
- 7Lay a rail strip along the top of each rail, front edge flush, and stick a stop bumper to the inside face of each front stop.
- 8Turn the stand over, apply a desk grip strip to the underside of each panel, and set it down.

Shipping and returns
Stands ship flat-packed with the hardware and cushions in the same box. Assembly takes about five minutes and needs one hex key.
You have fourteen days from delivery to change your mind, for any reason, and we pay return postage if the stand does not fit your machine. That promise is the risk reversal for a product whose only real objection is fit — and it is the reason the list above is honest.
Common questions
- Why does the cross-frame come in two pieces?
- Because a 408 mm frame does not fit on a 256 mm print bed, and we would rather lap and bolt two honest halves than scale a part down until it fits. The spine is 36 mm wide with three M4 bolts through it.
- Does it press on the rubber feet?
- No — the opposite. The rails run outboard of all four feet and bear on the base plate near the chassis edge. The feet hang free.
